In May 2014, I'll come back to Japan to see the D-LIVE, and like the two previous years, I want to offer a new fan-project for all D-fans from all around the world.

SUBJECT:
10th year anniversary D-Boys fan project

GOAL:
Made a booklet of cards to each DBoys members. To celebrate the 10th year anniversary of the D-groups!!!

[livejournal.com profile] tilmon and me will put all the cards together as an accordion style booklet. Each member will have his own booklet full of our support.

Rules... )

DEADLINE:
May 6th 2014
You can send your cards to me in France or to [livejournal.com profile] timon in the USA. Letters can make some time to rearch us so choose the closest country.
Tell us who you are when you send your cards to me. Like that, we could say from who we receive the mails.

We'll give the booklets when we go to the D-LIVE. But all the members don't take part of these shows, so we'll post the remaining booklets by post.

If they are interested people, please leave a message here or on [livejournal.com profile] tilmon's or my inbox.
If you want more informations, please ask to me!!!

I'm sorry for posting this project so so late ^^;
Sorry for my bad English!
The D's will is strong!!!

Added by Tilmon: If you are sending to me, and don't have my address, just message me.  And if you don't want to cut your own postcards, just draw a line where you want them cut. I will use the heavy duty paper cutter at work. A standard US postcard is 4 inches tall, which is 10.16 centimeters. Also known as close enough. Don't sweat the .16. If you were handcutting it, you probably wouldn't be exact to the centimeter either. Slightly off is OK. But if you have a big postcard, please make sure the final size is 10x10 cm. Thanks!

I bought both versions of 淋しいマグネット (Samishii Magunetto), and they came just 2 days after the release date. I watched Reds right away, rereading "Our Bad Magnet" by Douglas Maxwell as I went. Yesterday, I finally had time to watch the Blues performance and watch the Reds (this time with companionship, thanks to Yami) all the way through. There aren't a lot of reviews in English, so if you are trying to decide if you also want to buy (you do, you do!), maybe I can help.

Cast and Review )
Not surprisingly, I prefer the Reds version. Seto is my favorite young Japanese actor for a reason, and he amply demonstrates it with his performance in Samishii Magunetto. This is also the last stage performance by Endo as a D-BOY, and what a great performance it was! In his face, it is easy to see Gonzo's collapse of hope and anger at his shattered delusions. But if you like the Blues cast, or think you'd be more interested in the way they played the characters, you will certainly be satisfied with that choice. I know I will continue to watch both of them.

Did you know:
Watching without understanding Japanese or having read the play? Here are some cues. )

Remember the 30 days of D-BOYS meme? Remember that I didn't finish it? Well, since I have threatened promised to keep posting drawings until Erin feels more confident of her own drawing, I decided I need a topic. Let's go back to Day 10.

If you are going to buy D-BOYS goods, take the train to Harajuku Station. Walk a couple of blocks up Omotesando Street, then turn to your left when you get here.

Toward the end of the alley/street, you will see this:

Take your place in line. It moves pretty fast. If you print out your order in Japanese beforehand to hand to the shop clerk, she'll help you with the order form.

Tater says: "Don't forget to ask people if they want you to pick up something while you are there!"

I'm getting so far behind because. for the picture days, I need to scan something most of you haven't seen. But at the rate I'm getting around to scanning, that may be next week at the earliest. So that I don't forget that I'm doing this meme, I've decided to just skip ahead to some days I can do off the top of my head.

Day 8 - Talk about your favorite choreography.

Without a doubt, this would be the battle scenes in Karasu (both versions). Choreography isn't just dance, as any marching band member can tell you. The way that the battles were conveyed without actual fighting relied on set design, costume, and props, but, primarily, good choreography.

Day 9 - How well do you follow their individual work outside of the group?

Of course, I follow what Seto is up to, and try to watch all of his work. But I also pay attention to what the others are doing. I don't always watch their work, but I am far more likely to watch a program with a D-BOY or former D-BOY in it than any other show.
The rest of the meme rests here... )

Day 6 - Talk about your favorite stageplay.

I think this has to go to Karasu 10. Karasu 4 was great, too. But 10 had Shingo's best performance, Wada being over the top, Seto voicing an axe, Araki flaming, and Channaka's birthday cake... Oh, yeah. The cake was a backstage. But Channaka was on the stage, and that was great! I started to go on and on about everyone, but it's already after 1 AM, so I guess I won't. But it's a great stage, worth watching even though it never got subs. (But 4 did, and it's the same stage, so it is pretty easy to follow from the 4 subs. What, no? I'm delusional.) At any rate, you can still read my initial impression of the stage.

You know what, writing this up, I thought I'd look up important things about the stage, and I realized that our lj com really needs to get on top of some stuff. How is we don't have the stages listed with full casts and performance dates and such?

Day 7 - Do you watch their live performances/events? (Online or in real life)

I was so lucky this past summer to get to see NTDK 11 and the D☆DATE Summer Live! I hope someday I can see a stage performance live, also. In the meantime, at least we can (usually) buy the stage DVDs.

As for other live performances, I watch the D☆DATE ustreams live as often as I can. Sometimes I can't wake up for them, but TV Guide has been so kind to make them available soon after they air live, so I haven't had to miss any.

Day 5 - Talk about your favorite “behind the scenes” moment(s).

I sadly don't have anything really interesting to say for this day.

I haven't seen nearly enough of the backstages! Or recently enough! I need a backstage night. But right now, I'm going with the NTDK10 scene where Seto says an English word with a perfect American accent. It was just so...unexpected, and he sounded so different.

Man, I gotta carve out some time to rewatch me some backstage!

But for tomorrow's I can be more interesting! )

Day 4 - You also have a least favorite (past or present). Talk about him.

This day is no challenge at all!

Seto is my favorite, but after him, I don't so much rank individuals as group them.

1. Seto
2. The rest of D☆DATE.
3. Wada, Endo, Yanagi, Zukki
4. Everyone (not already mentioned) who has been in toku.
5. Everyone else.

I tend to think of Group 5 as the ones who will be in toku later. And I don't dislike them. I am just more likely to know them if their role was ever shared by a guy in a rubber suit.

Hmmm. Now I find myself really wanting to see Tomo at least as a monster of the week. And it would thrill my fangirl heart if Arata gets a toku part.
