finally got my copy of Karasu 10 completely ripped so that I could watch it. Man, I need to get a region-free DVD player, or, even better, the global entertainment industry needs to drop the whole silly region code thing and treat the world's population like the global market we are. OK, enough complaining, because when it comes to the contents, there's nothing to complain about, and lots of oh so goodness!

From a purely Seto fan point of view, eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! He's really good as Ryu. I was concerned that he wouldn't be believable as a woodsman because he is so slight. But his stage presence is enormous, so he never seems petite. From the moment he first strides out into the imaginary forest, he completely seems like someone who has been doing rough, hard, lonely work his entire life and really doesn't understand the ways of the world. And I really loved how he voiced Dragon.

And I loved him in the Making of Karasu video. Especially the bit in the dressing room where his hair is tied up into fountain spouts and the one on the front bobbles up and down every time he nods.

Gotta go. More later. I'll even talk about everyone else!

I was already happy that the Karasu manga had been put up online in Japanese. I was at least able to salivate over the artwork as I attempted to very slowly and painfully translate it myself. Hey, I got through an entire page in one month! Wooooooo!

But today, Makichan5 posted at d_boys that the Karasu manga had been subbed over at Binktopia! It was a slow day at work, so I actually got to take my breaks and read it. Wow! Great story! Beautiful art! I look forward to more in the series and, I hope, an official English translation and compilation down the line.

Everyone, go read it! It's really good!
