But my allergies had other ideas, and I was forced to do it today. Thus, courtesy of waiting to merge, these new lines to the beloved classic, "Let It Snow":

Oh, the traffic outside is frightful.
But at home is so delightful.
The outside temperature feels like Nome.
Stay at home, stay at home, stay at home.

The traffic has come to a crawl
Five miles outside of the mall.
If you really have to take a drive
Sometime next year you'll arrive!

This traffic jam seems so unending.
I could have brought some clothes for mending.
Instead I'll just compose a poem--
Stay at home, stay at home, stay at home!

Merry Christmas, everyone! Hope you don't have to travel, and if you do, hope you get there and back safely.

If you are American, and you haven't added your voice to the movement against censorship, what is stopping you? Even if you are too young to vote, you are not to young to add your name to a petition or send an email. Make your voice heard.

If you are not American, please let our Congress know how their actions will affect your own free speech rights.

What really makes me angry about these bills is that they will essentially criminalize culture sharing, investing a natural human function in only the hands of only a few "content providers." Restrictions on culture sharing don't even work out all that well for professional artists, as we have seen with the latest D-Stage and the excising of Seto's solo from D☆DATE'slive DVD. Everyone of us is happy to buy the things we want when it is possible. But it is the entertainment industry itself which makes getting hold of those things difficult or even impossible, through geographical based distribution restrictions, prohibitive pricing, and simply locking them away never to be seen again,. If these bills pass, RIAA will essentially be able to control not just the content you can find access to, but the very history of modern culture itself. All they have to do is buy up copyrights, and there will no longer be a public sphere of free cultural dissemination.
